Anodic Oxidation
Anodic oxidation, electrochemical oxidation of metal or alloy. The process of aluminum and its alloys forming a layer of oxide film on aluminum products (anodes) under the action of external current under the corresponding electrolyte and specific process conditions. Anodizing, unless otherwise specified, usually refers to sulfuric acid anodizing.
In order to overcome the defects in the surface hardness and wear resistance of aluminum alloys, expand the scope of application and prolong the service life, the surface treatment technology has become an indispensable link in the use of aluminum alloys, and the anodic oxidation technology is the most widely used and successful at present.
